Travel Plan

Requirements:

Summer Youth Immersion Program: (E)  This program is designed for students age between 14 to 18 with integrated supervision, rich learning and culture experience.   

Summer Culture Discovery Program: (A, B, C )  These programs are designed for students age above 18 with no supervision and freedom of self explorations. Students age from 15 can be accepted but they are expected to be very independent.

 Our students come from different countries around the world, from USA, Canada, and European countries, etc. It is a great opportunity to make new friends.

Currency exchange rates vary on dates, for Tokyo A to C programs, the estimated USD amounts are from  4668 USD (A) to 7876 USD (C) without considering other charges such as banking fee or international wire transfer fees.

* Group Plan:

We encourage you to bring friends to share the experience, come as a group of minimum 3 and each student receives a $75 rebate.

* Deadlines:
Program will be closed when the host family spaces are filled.  After deadline applications depend on space and require confirmation of enrolment documents and program fee in a very shorter time frame. 

**  Fees:
Program fee is subject to change without prior notice.
Air ticket is not included in the program fee, if you need travel agency information please contact us.
Registered students please follow the fee amount and dates in your student information sheet.

Note:
   Youth Immersion: (E) is a language immersion program with language classes, cultures and organized city trips, it focuses on experiencing the Japanese culture and improve the language in a short period of time.  After the afternoon practice classes, students prefer to spend their time with new friends before going back to the host families.  In the weekend, students stay with the host families to experience the Japanese life, exchange culture and explore the city together.  This program has beginner and intermediate level classes.

   Culture Discovery: (A, B & C) these programs have a mix of language classes, cultures, organized city and overnight trips.  During the free time in some afternoons or on Sundays, students normally prefer to explore the city on themselves.  Students can choose either dormitory or homestay.  These programs have classes for all levels.

The program fee includes:

Youth Immersion: (E)
     Tuition and textbook for all courses;
     Homestay;
     Arrival and departure group stay at hotel;
     Commuting pass to school;
     Meals except lunch on school days;
     Airport pickup and drop offs;
     Culture activities and city trips;
     Emergency medical insurance with maximum coverage of 50,000 USD (certain conditions apply);
     Pre-departure guide; 

Culture Discovery: (A, B & C)
     Tuition and textbook for all courses;
     Accommodation: homestay or dormitory;
     Meals except lunch on school days (for homestay only, dormitory does not have meals);
     Airport pickup (NO drop off);
     Culture activities, city and overnight trips;
     Pre-departure guide;
     NEW: Emergency medical insurance with maximum coverage of 50,000 USD (certain conditions apply);
 

Note:
Air fare is not included in the program fee;
Meals are only provided by homestay, not provided for dormitory option, dorm shared kitchen is accessible;
Dorm students are required for a dorm deposit, it will be refunded when students move out after deducting the cleaning, electricity and damage charges.
Airport pickup is included for all programs, however, only program E provides airport drop off.

About financial aid:

Consortium Agreement: we accept college students' financial aid from their university or college on our program. Please ask your financial aid office about the policy and procedures, often you are required for approval for course credit first.  If approved, please fax or email us a copy of "Consortium Agreement" to sign.

 Travel Plan:

For all students, we will pick you up at the Tokyo Narita Airport on the scheduled arrival date.  Customs information and airport maps will be sent to you prior to departure.  Travel agency contacts can be provided to students departure from North America. 

It is recommended that you compare the air travel between your travel agent and the one we referred to find one that best suit your needs.  The travel agency we referred is dedicated to Japan traveling, they often have competitive rates.
